Did you know ?

There are really 365.2422 days that the earth rotates the sun in a year? that’s just over 5 extra hours a year, not a big deal since that’s only a quarter of a day, but over time Winter would become summer and summer winter.

Hence Leap Year every 4 years!

Every century we would loss 24 days, Which is were the problem begins, eventually July 4 th could become Christmas and Christmas could end up being Halloween,

Hey maybe the retailers know something we don’t!! ; )

What’s even more amazing is this was discovered during the Roman Empire under Julius Caesar in the year 45 BC!

Now that keeps me wondering!

Go outside some evening and there it is, a sight like no other…

The moon, and the planets, Venus and Jupiter, lined up all in a row, kind of mind boggling!

Makes me Wonder…
Is someone out there looking up at night seeing the earth as clearly as we are seeing Jupiter and Venus?

Where’s February?

I woke up this morning wondering what happened to February? Then I realized its Monday again, which made me wonder just how many Monday’s I have lived through the number… 2,769 Monday’s so far.

That’s two thousand seven hundred and sixty nine Mondays… To start over!!! Oh my!
Today I realized I need to start living out my desires, accomplishing my goals, and follow my dreams on 2,769th Monday, today is the day!!!

Oh Yes You Can!

I was reading something on line yesterday and it said

“Oh yes you can”

and I thought what a strong positive affirmation…

“Oh yes I can”, maybe a great way to start your day,
Believing that,
Oh yes you can ……..

And let what follows just happen!

Simply put,
Believe and See because

Oh Yes You Can!!!!

Awe, just in awe….

It’s Just That…

We all have our moments of doubt and fear … But they are just that!
A moment:
“an indefinitely short period of time; instant.”
An instant:
“a very short time (as the time it takes the eye blink or the heart to beat)”

So remember, when you are having a moment that doesn’t give you joy and peace rest assured its just that…

A moment, a blink of an eye, a fleeting instant which will pass and just as the blink of an eye opens back up and is able to see the light, and the world and all it’s glory, you too have that same promise …

It’s just that … A moment!

In awe of wondering…

Pushing Through …

We all find ourselves in situations that we wish would just end!

Each moment of wondering when, pushes us through to the next moment closer to our answer of why?

Why did we just have to go through so much pain?

Be it, Physical or emotional…
Pain is a pain!

Pain is also growth…
It’s one of the few places growth can happen at a depth like no other emotion.
It sucks while in the middle of experiencing it, sometimes it even seems like it will never end!

Life tells us, what goes up must come down and if there is a beginning,
then there will be an end…

So the comfort of knowing if you keep pushing through the pain what seems like just the beginning will soon come to an end!!!

Wondering about love!

“Together For 60 Years”

Can you imagine ? Being with the same person, together for 60 years?

That is what I celebrated with my family this weekend, my loving parents together for 60 years.

Never once do I remember them fighting, now my mom on the other hand did tend to nag, my dad, a strong independent business
owner really wasn’t bothered by her nagging.

It was a time when “the dad” cared for his family in ways you seldom see today. a world war 2 vet, he always had a loving strength about him. As I remember, he never yelled at us either, that was my moms job : )

Both college educated from the 1940s, both from broken homes, both driven to have the family they never experienced, both loved by many, both wonderful role models!

I’ve admired their relationship, something I haven’t seem to gotten right myself, yet!

I wonder if what I’ve witnessed with my parents is even possible today ?
With the divorce rate so high, and I being a casualty myself , what can I expect from a relationship?

I admire people in a loving healthy marriage these days, and wonder will I ever get it right?

My goal, is to celebrate a 25 th Anniversary with the love of my life someday!

I have “my life” just need to find
“my love”…

Happy Anniversary mom and dad!

And to all you in a loving marriage I say ” congratulations” and remember, don’t take your spouse for granted , honor, respect, and love each other and someday you too may say …
“Together for 60 years!”

Only you can control access to your thoughts, your actions, your emotions.

You decide when to open your gate.

So as the gatekeeper of yourself, how do you control the use of your gate?

Does it have a lock to shut out negative thoughts and feelings which don’t edify you? Or is there a loose spring and your gate flys open and closed as easily as the wind blows?

A controlled gate is sign of a strong Keeper, You !
