Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
E.Y. Harburg (lyrics)

“Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?”

This Song was sent to me by a friend, I was moved to tears by the words this morning, the same words that I have heard for over 40 years, but today they took on a more profound meaning….

Having just seen blue birds on a beautiful road trip in West Virginia and knowing I’ve dared to have dreams come true, I’ve wished upon a star, and watched my trouble melt like lemon drops and today I was reminded if blue birds can fly over the rainbow, then why can’t I !!!

I’ve seen many rainbows in my life, they represent Gods Promise to me that everything will be alright as ” I wake up and know the clouds are far behind me….”
I am forever grateful my friend!

Always in Wonder…
In Awe of this double rainbow ….
