Truth and Freedom

Truth and Freedom

People manipulate the truth.
Words are said, things are accused and the truth is twisted… That’s life and the injustice of life… Those people have to live with themselves, I can only imagine the hatred inside of them…

Freedom is knowing your truth and standing strong living a life of morals and values. Knowing you are telling the truth gives you a sense of freedom and where there is freedom there is a peaceful life…

And those who manipulate the truth, well you get the picture…

Living life filled with love, awe and wonder all while living in truth…

Believing in Miracles…

Today I am “Believing in a Miracle”
According to Wikipedia:
“A miracle is an event not ascribable to human power or the laws of nature and consequently attributed to a supernatural, especially divine, agency.” Why not believe?
There are miracles all around us…

Too often we have an expectation that something should be the way we want… In reality, everything works out for the best… Looking at life daily, it is filled with miracles… From the moment we wake up till we fall back asleep, life is a bundle of wonderful miracles!
Do you see all of them?

Look up, look down, look all around and they are there… So I had myself wondering this morning, why the change in expectation of just “believing in a miracle today” when life truly is filled with miracles…

A slight change of attitude, a belief in celebrating what is and a focus on the Joy of breathing in and out, for me constitutes believing in miracles!

Here’s an example of a few miracles!
My daughter, my grandson George and Bubbles!!!! ; )

My Very Own Rainbow…

I love rainbows and find them to be very enchanting… Like my finding of hearts everywhere I tend to see rainbows often…

When the sun shines through the front of my house there are tiny rainbows on my walls and floors… And today as I was watering the lawn there it was again my very own rainbow!

Its meaning for me, is a sign from God letting me know he is always there watching over me and my family… A comfort I embraced one day years ago standing alone at Niagara Falls,
when a double rainbow appeared out of nowhere…

I love being in awe… I love to always be wondering… As I continue to learn to enjoy my journey called life, I encourage you stop and see the rainbows along the way…

Overcoming, Overcoming!

That one word keeps ringing in my head over and over again… Learning a valuable life lesson by overcoming, overcoming….

According to elook.com overcoming means “win a victory over.” So if someone overcomes overcoming, does that make them even more victorious?

I saw this picture on Facebook the other day and it had me wondering…
If this orphan baby elephant can overcome the loss of her mother and bond with a stranger, then it seems like we should be able to overcome so much more since we have the ability to rationalize…

For some reason this picture really changed my thinking this week… Its meaning had me wondering…

The simplicity of life, the love we choose to give or receive, the acceptance of someone who may or may not “belong” and the simple realization of being present to the moment we are in…

If you don’t see a baby elephant today, hug a person and be present to the moment you are sharing…

The Ugly Duckling?

I was out kayaking over the weekend, I must admit it’s one of my favorite things to do lately…

It is so peaceful, there is so much beauty all around to see. As I was paddling closer and closer to this one swan I noticed its reflection in the water as it continue to look at itself….

That made me think about the story of the ugly duckling…. And I wondered….
What did that beautiful swan see in its own reflection? Did it see the same beauty I saw? And then I wondered again, how, too often we don’t see the same beauty others see in us…

It was a moment of wondering the other day… Wondering when we don’t feel so beautiful, is it because we are surrounded by too many plain old ducks!

Just wondering and in awe of the beautiful reflection…

The Bumble Bee

I saw this bumble bee yesterday in the garden and it had me wondering… So I decided to look up some facts about this incredible creature…
What I found off the Web was interesting…

“Encourage the bumble bee in your garden or farm and she will repay your kindness by pollinating your flowers, fruit and vegetables and giving you an excellent set on your blossom.”

ENCOURAGE a bumble Bee, really?

Well, of course that had me wondering even more…
If we are to Encourage a tiny Bumble bee, it seems like Encouraging each other would be simple, right?
One of the best gift you can ever give someone is words of encouragement!
So why so much discouragement in this world?

And then there was more…

“Generally they will not attack a human at all, unless their life is under threat. Don’t wave your arms wildly in their presence, stand quietly and once they smell you are not a flower with pollen they will move gently away.”

This had me wondering about humans and what happens when we feel attacked… when our lives, egos, and feelings come under attack how we may react… Waving our arms and mouths all around out of frustration…. Hmmm, theres something to be learned from dealing with a bumble bee!

Maybe standing quietly next time there is conflict in your life, like the bumble bee, our foes will gently walk away!!!

In Awe of learning life lessons from a Bumble bee…

“Encourage someone today and be Still when you feel under attack!”

Living life filled with Love awe and wonder…

It’s a Chicken Wrap, Right?

Spending time with my parents is a blessing… Their age makes them confused. My mother is the one diagnosed with dementia. But I’ve noticed my father beginning to get confused living with my mom.

At McDonalds the other day he wanted a hamburger as he was eating it he couldn’t remember what it was called…
He looked at me and looked at it and said “it’s a chicken wrap, right?” He knew he was wrong we looked at each other and just laughed! He eventually realized it was a hamburger! My smart daddy…

It’s truly a blessing getting to spend this time with him… And my mom!

In awe of being so very blessed!

Out With the Old…

On my walk the other day, I could not help but stop and wonder about the sight of these mailboxes. All I thought was “Out with the old, in with the new”…

Perhaps just celebrating a birthday year that seem to be very difficult for me for some reason brought those words to mind. Being a caretaker, it just seems as if this world prefers discarding the elderly rather than honoring them. And honestly there are days I feel invisible in this world around the younger generation!

As I have aged I seem to have more of a heart for the elderly. Some prefer caring for animals, some caring for children.

I am in awe of the history that the elderly carry with them. Secrets locked away, memories of history I may never have learned about… It all makes me wonder… They lived at my age at one point and now here they are… Some trapped in that same body and mind with a lifetime of memories…

I have always believed the greatest gift to give someone is the gift of a “Memory”… Creating memories for others is something they will have for a lifetime… Even for the elderly, it’s never to late to create a memory… Love someone today who was your age yesterday! You never know what you might learn, or the memory you may create!

In Awe of aging, but not in Love with it,
it all just makes me Wonder!
