I couldn’t help but wonder of all the sayings we used to say and are no longer in our vocabulary…

I was out to dinner last night with friends and as a women parked her car and walked away from it her lights were on…
I realized then, I used to say “Hey lady your lights are on” I had to laugh knowing we no longer need to say that!

And of course it had me wondering…
Here’s a few obsolete sayings from days gone by…

Walking in the door asking “did anyone call”
“While you’re up, can you change the Chanel please”
“I need to tape my show tonight”
Hearing your mother yelling outside
“It’s time to eat”
“I’m going to play my 45 now”
The sound of the old rotary dial phones, a record skipping, even the doorbell ringing… (When children use to come to the house to play outside by themselves) Cards flapping on the spokes of bike tires.
Or hearing “Can I borrow your set of encyclopedias”
So many forgotten times…

Life changes… words change!
So now…
I never have to leave my home… I have all the answers on google, stay in touch with my iPhone, can exercise off the TV, call for take out, listen to my iTunes… And work from my PC… And of course hashtag Anything!!!

In wonder of what tomorrow may bring…

For me it all started back in the 1970’s.
There it sat, a thing called a computer with amber coloring that lite up the screen. The codes on the screen made no sense to me, I believe the operating system was called DOS.

I remember wondering way back then, how was I ever going to understand this crazy system… I never did grasp the DOS
(Disk operating system) just googled that meaning after all these years…

Computers are frustrating to me… Oh I can get around them and do what I need to do, all while my brain is throbbing from overload!!! I can’t be the only one on overload from too much technology stimulation… Well there you have it…
I suffer from TSO! Technology Stimulation Overload… There must be a cure for that or at least some kind of Medicine!!! Lol kidding of course (I think).
I know too many people suffering from physical pain from working on computers all day!

Next time your brain hurts, you have headaches, your neck aches, your thumbs and fingers go numb or your back has muscle spasms… You now can name it… You have TSO…

Who would have ever guessed that thing called a computer back then would cause so much bodily pain!!!

In wonder what the future holds…

I woke up wondering about people and life. Trying to understand others all while being true to myself.

Ever feel like you get it and sometimes others don’t?

The point should be tolerance and acceptance no matter what others get or don’t get! Knowing how to embrace your truth and beliefs without being influenced by what others think and especially think of you.

Living a life filled with Love, awe and Wonder, for me, keeps me in a place of contentment. I am also learning how to live in a place called “neutrality”… Its meaning:
the state or position of being impartial or not allied with or committed to either party or viewpoint in a conflict, especially a war or armed conflict, — dictionary.com

So learning to live in a state of neutrality keeps me in check especially when conflict is about to arise! It’s the ego that wants control…

I recently saw the saying “you can’t cure stupid” but we can certainly cure our own stupid if we choose! So if You are being intolerant, judgmental, having to be right, finding fault or just being plain Stupid…
Give it a rest and find a neutral place in your head and breathe…try living in a place called neutrality you will find peace there…
